What it is

The layer that turns drafts into deliverables.

Generating an AI video is the easy part. Making it look like yours — branded, on-tone, polished, scroll-stopping — is where most workflows break down. Until now, that meant exporting your clips and finishing them in a separate editor with a separate skill set. Pika AI Powers collapses that gap.

Powers is the creative toolkit that sits on top of every Pika model. It expands the platform beyond simple generation by giving you new ways to edit, style, and enhance your videos with more personality and control. Refine scenes, apply curated style presets, stack eye-catching effects — turn quick AI drafts into dynamic, finished short-form content without ever leaving the workspace.

The toolkit is built around three pillars: editing — refining scenes, adjusting visual elements, reshaping clips to match your idea; styling — applying artistic looks, moods, and aesthetic directions ranging from cinematic to playful to highly polished; and stickers and effects — fun, eye-catching visual elements and transformations that make videos feel social, branded, or interactive. Together, these turn Pika from a video generator into a flexible creative workspace where you experiment, customize, and produce content that feels unique to your vision.

Three pillars

Editing. Styling. Effects.

Each pillar tackles a specific creative problem. Use them on their own or stack them together — Powers is designed to compose, not to silo.

01 · Editing

Refine scenes. Reshape clips.

Adjust visual elements, trim, restructure, and reshape clips to better match your idea. Make scene-level edits without re-generating from scratch. Tighten a moment, swap an object, extend a beat — without leaving the Pika workspace.

  • Clip trimming & restructuring
  • Object replacement via Pikaswaps
  • Element insertion via Pikadditions
02 · Styling

Apply moods, looks, aesthetics.

Curated style presets that re-skin entire clips with one click. Cinematic, anime, vintage VHS, pixel art, watercolor, editorial, dreamlike — whether the goal is polished and professional or playful and surreal, the look lands consistently.

  • Curated artistic presets
  • Mood & lighting transforms
  • Stylistic camera direction
  • Brand-friendly palettes
03 · Stickers & Effects

Stack the eye-catching layer.

Fun, expressive visual elements that make videos feel social, branded, or interactive. Drop in custom stickers, overlay text accents, or apply Pikaffects — the surreal physics engine that crushes, melts, inflates, explodes, or cake-ifies anything on screen.

Twelve looks. One click each.

Curated presets that re-style any generation in seconds. The gallery keeps growing — these are the most-used looks across the Pika community right now. Apply alone or stack with effects for layered results.

Pikaffects · 27 transformations

Surreal physics, on demand.

Pikaffects is Pika's signature effects engine — one-click presets that crush, melt, inflate, explode, or cake-ify anything on screen. Built for content that stops the scroll. Eight of the most popular transformations are below.

i

ii

iv

v

Pikaffects covers the full surreal-physics catalogue — twenty-seven creative styles in total at last count, with new transformations rolling out alongside model releases. Each preset combines a transformation behaviour, a camera direction, and a duration template — meaning a one-tap effect produces a coherent six-second clip rather than a raw filter, with the timing tuned for short-form social platforms by default.

Use them as standalone moments or stack them: cake-ify a product, then watercolor it, then add stickers. The composition is always reversible — Powers operations are non-destructive, so you can refine, undo, and remix without re-generating the underlying clip.

The workflow

Generate. Refine. Ship.

Powers is designed to compress the post-generation workflow into four fast steps — each one happening inside the Pika workspace, no exporting, no juggling tools.

1

Generate the base clip

Use any Pika model — text-to-video, image-to-video, Pikaframes, Pikascenes, Pikaformance — to produce the source footage.

2

Refine with editing

Trim, swap objects with Pikaswaps, insert elements with Pikadditions, restructure scenes — all without re-generating.

3

Apply a style preset

Pick from the curated style library — cinematic, anime, vintage, watercolor, editorial — or stack multiple looks for a custom feel.

4

Layer stickers & effects

Drop in stickers, apply a Pikaffect transformation, add overlays — then export to MP4 in your platform's native ratio.

Where Powers shines

Built for the scroll-stopping stuff.

Powers compresses what used to take hours of editing into minutes of styling. These are the workflows where it adds the most lift today.

01

TikTok & Reels content

Stack a Pikaffect onto a generated clip, apply a vintage VHS preset, drop in stickers — ship a scroll-stopper in under five minutes.

02

Branded ad spots

Style preset enforcement keeps the look on-brand across every clip. Editing tools fix small details without full re-renders.

03

Product teasers

Cake-ify, levitate, crystalize the product. Apply an editorial style. Add price stickers. Two minutes from concept to share.

04

Social-first stories

The Pikaffects library is purpose-built for narrative beats — surreal transitions, attention-grabbing transformations, scroll bait.

05

Concept & mood films

Cinematic and dreamlike presets give 5-second drafts a film-trailer feel. Layer noir or watercolor for distinctive direction.

06

Memes & viral content

Stickers, captions, surreal physics — the exact toolkit for content that lands on the For You page and stays there.

07

Personal-brand assets

Consistent visual identity across every clip. Save your favourite preset stack as a recipe and reuse it for every output.

08

Stylized explainer videos

Apply pixel-art or cartoon-princess styles to make educational content feel playful instead of clinical.

09

Retro & nostalgia content

Vintage VHS, film noir, stop motion — built for the 80s/90s revival that dominates short-form. Stylize once, post everywhere.

For developers

Bring Powers to any agent.

Powers is exposed via the Pika Agent API, so any agent — yours, an Openclaw build, Claude through MCP — can call editing, styling, and effect operations directly. Select skills are also open-sourced through the Pika-Skills GitHub repository.

⚡ Pika Agent API

Skip the GUI. Just ship.

Use Pika's API to bring Powers and Skills to other agents — including Openclaw, Claude through MCP, or your own custom build. No new Pika Agent setup needed. Get a developer key, drop the SDK into your runtime, and your agent can generate, edit, style, and effect-ify in a single call.

Each operation is composable — you can chain a generation, a style application, a Pikaffect, and a sticker overlay into one request. Pika handles the rendering and returns a finished MP4. The same engine that powers the consumer app, exposed as primitives.

Sign up at pika.me/dev/login to get your API key. Free tier credits to test with, then per-token pricing scales with usage. Select skills are also published in the open-source Pika-Skills repository so you can self-host or customize.

Frequently Asked

Questions, answered.

What exactly are Pika AI Powers? +
Pika AI Powers is the creative toolkit that sits on top of every Pika model. Where the underlying models generate raw video, Powers refines, styles, and enhances those generations through three pillars: editing (scene-level controls, trims, object swaps via Pikaswaps and Pikadditions), styling (curated artistic presets), and effects (Pikaffects transformations and sticker overlays). The goal is to compress the gap between a generated draft and a finished, on-brand clip.
How is Powers different from Pika's video tools? +
Pika's tools — Pikaframes, Pikascenes, Pikaformance, Pikaswaps, Pikadditions — are model-level capabilities that generate or modify video. Powers is the workspace layer on top of them. Think of the tools as the engines and Powers as the dashboard, palette, and finishing kit. You generate with a tool, then refine, style, and ship with Powers.
Can I stack multiple Powers operations on one clip? +
Yes. Powers is composable by design. Apply a style preset, then add a Pikaffect, then layer stickers — all on the same clip. Each operation is non-destructive, so you can adjust or undo any layer without re-generating the underlying video. The full compose chain is exposed via the API as a single request.
Are Powers limited to videos generated in Pika? +
The full Powers experience is optimized for videos generated inside the Pika workspace, where the model context and metadata stay attached. Some operations — particularly Pikaswaps, Pikadditions, and certain style presets — also work on uploaded video content. Effects like Pikaffects are designed to run on Pika-generated source for the best results.
How many style presets are available? +
The curated style library includes 12+ flagship presets (cinematic, anime, vintage VHS, pixel art, cyberpunk, cartoon princess, heroic warrior, stop motion, film noir, dreamlike, watercolor, editorial), with new looks rolling out alongside model releases. The Pikaffects transformation library currently spans 27 styles. You can also stack multiple presets on a single clip for a custom blended look.
Can my Pika Agent invoke Powers automatically? +
Yes. Pika Agents have access to the full Powers toolkit through their skill set. Ask your Agent for "a 6-second clip of a cyberpunk city in cinematic style with a levitate effect," and the Agent composes the right Powers chain automatically. Vibe Making, Autoedit, and several other Agent skills lean heavily on Powers under the hood.
Can I use Powers in my own AI agent or app? +
Yes. The Pika Agent API exposes Powers as primitives — generation, editing, styling, effect, and compose endpoints. You can bring them into Openclaw agents, Claude via MCP, or your own custom runtime. Get an API key at pika.me/dev/login. No need to set up a separate Pika Agent if you only want the API. Select skills are also published in the open-source Pika-Skills GitHub repo.
What does it cost? +
Powers operations are billed in the same token system as generations. Cheapest are simple edits (around 5 tokens), most expensive are full compose chains (around 80 tokens for a generation plus styling plus effects). Token packs start at $7.99 for 800 tokens and scale up to $149.99 for 15,000. Free-tier credits are included on signup so you can test the toolkit before committing.
Do my Powers edits stay non-destructive? +
Yes. Powers operations are layered, not baked. Apply a style, swap an object, add stickers — each layer is independently editable. Remove a sticker, swap a different style, undo an edit — your underlying generation stays intact. Final export bakes the chosen layers into the MP4 file you download.
Will my Powers work be watermarked? +
On free tier, Pika applies a small watermark by default; on paid tiers (Standard, Pro, Fancy) you can export watermark-free. AI provenance metadata is preserved separately on every export to keep AI-generated content traceable wherever it's shared. Always pick "Final Export" rather than preview for a clean download.
What aspect ratios does Powers support? +
Powers inherits the aspect ratio support of the underlying Pika model. Today that means seven ratios — 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:5, 5:4, 3:2, and 2:3 — covering YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, and other major platforms. Style presets and Pikaffects auto-adapt to whatever ratio the source clip uses.
Where is Powers available? +
Powers ships with the main Pika web app and the iOS app. The full toolkit — editing, styling, effects, sticker overlays — is available on every plan including the free tier (with usage limits). Through the Pika Agent API and Pika-Skills GitHub repo, Powers is also accessible to developers building on top of Pika or any MCP-compatible AI.
